Her approach is holistic, encompassing mind, body, and spirit. Music is part of her healing arsenal, and she's trained in various techniques such as Psychodynamic theory, CBT, and Family Systems. Alex Padilla, LCSW

Mental Health Therapist

Alexandra Padilla is a Licensed Master Social Worker. Alex graduated from NM Highlands University with master’s in clinical social work and from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with bachelor’s in philosophy with an emphasis in religious studies and phenomenology. Alex’s approach focuses on mind/body interventions to aid clients in healing from trauma, anxiety, and depression. Alex’s therapy approach focuses on exploring limited beliefs and behaviors and changing those limited beliefs and behaviors through mind/body approaches including tapping, yoga therapy, storytelling, and mindfulness. Her previous work experience includes working with juveniles, veterans, homeless youth, and individuals with mental, emotional, physical, and social challenges. Her most recent work experience is as a mental health therapist and yoga therapist at a wellness center that incorporated different treatment modalities to support clients in their healing. Alex collaborates with each client to aid them in realizing that they already have the tools necessary to heal and maintain their emotional well-being. When Alex is away from work, she enjoys hiking, dancing, yoga, and cuddling her pets.  


Vanessa Medina, LMSW

Mental Health Therapist

Vanessa was born and raised in Taos, NM. She was adopted at age 11 after being in foster care. This led to her passion to pursue a career to help serve families and children and inspired her to become a social worker. Vanessa attended New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM, where she received a Bachelor of Political Science: Law Emphasis; a Bachelor of Social Work and went on to pursue a clinical graduate degree, Master of Social Work, where she graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. Vanessa’s work experience is in the field of child welfare where she has served families for 8 years. Vanessa has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Vanessa has vast experience in childhood trauma and has a wealth of knowledge working with families who have adopted children who are survivors of trauma and abuse. Vanessa’s approach is very holistic, where she implements mind, body, and spirit. Vanessa is passionate about engaging with individuals to achieve their mental health goals, while creating a safe and serene environment. Vanessa’s hobbies include learning and growing as a person and clinician, as well as traveling and taking her dogs for car rides.


Rochelle Robertson, LMHC

Meet Rochelle Robertson: Passionate Cellist and Mental Health Therapist

Availability:  Tuesdays weekly at 1pm Wednesday 11am and every other Thursday at 11am 


Rochelle Robertson was born and raised in Albuquerque, and she is a proud native of the city. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in cello performance from the University of New Mexico in 2006. Rochelle has always been passionate about music and using it to connect with and help others. She has over 20 years of experience working with people of all ages, providing private cello lessons. After completing her undergraduate studies, Rochelle decided to pursue her passion for helping others and enrolled in a master's program in Counseling at Webster University. She graduated in 2010 and is now a licensed mental health counselor. Rochelle specializes in working with children and families in crisis and has experience working as an MST certified therapist. Rochelle believes that every individual is unique, and that no two therapy experiences will be the same. She believes that patience and understanding are key to the success of the therapeutic process. Rochelle strives to get to know each of her clients, to understand their individual situations, and to develop a therapeutic plan that fits their specific needs. She uses modalities such as Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy to help her clients better understand themselves, tap into their strengths and weaknesses, and build self-confidence. Aside from her work as a therapist, Rochelle is also a devoted mother to two wonderful children, a 9-year-old son and an 11-year-old daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, staying active through exercise, and playing her beloved cello.

Erin has compassionately provided therapeutic support to individuals, couples, and families as a mental health therapist. With a deep understanding of human behavior and a passion for helping others, she aims to make a difference in the lives of those she works with. Erin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who works with clients from the age of 14 and up. She is highly skilled in treating anxiety, depression, and is trauma-informed. Her eclectic approach involves using psychoeducation and mindfulness in her sessions, as well as incorporating therapeutic art and inner child work to cater to each client's unique needs. Erin is currently working towards multiple certifications, including Trauma Clinical Provider, Integrative Mental Health Provider, and ADHD Professional Provider. She has a proven ability to create a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore emotions, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth. Erin's strong therapeutic alliances facilitate positive change and help others establish connections. She tailors treatment plans to each client, using evidence-based practices and holistic approaches to promote overall well-being. Erin holds a master's degree in clinical Mental Health and School Counseling from New Mexico Highlands University, is licensed by the state of New Mexico Therapy and Counseling Licensing board and maintains ongoing professional development through continuing education and supervision. Alicia is a gifted licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and 2020 graduate of the University of New Mexico. She is a counselor who enjoys working with, and providing services to teens and adults. Alicia's approach is rooted in the person-centered philosophy, and she is an expert in mindfulness. Her clients always feel secure and never judged in her sessions as she provides a safe environment for them to express their thoughts, emotions, and concerns. She is committed to giving individuals the tools they need to face life's challenges with confidence.


Anna Birdsong, LMHC

She is licensed by the state of New Mexico Therapy and Counseling Licensing Board and maintains ongoing professional development through continuing education and supervision. Anna is currently pursuing a LPCC accreditation and has experience working with a diverse range of clients, from children to adults, offering individual therapy. She utilizes an eclectic approach to provide clients with effective support, including cognitive behavioral therapy, art, play, and mindfulness techniques. Anna's primary goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment for clients to process their thoughts, emotions, and needs.   


Justyce Lopez, LMSW

Early life experiences can shape us in profound ways. For Justyce, growing up in northern New Mexico, navigating childhood trauma, body image struggles, and eating disorders, ultimately led her down the path of mental health advocacy. Her mission is to help clients heal from their own traumatic experiences, drawing on her deep understanding of pain and resilience.

With a master's degree in social work from New Mexico Highlands University, Justyce has also become certified in mindfulness-based stress reduction and is diligently working towards her yoga teaching certification. This unique combination of education and personal growth tools allows her to offer clients a diverse range of skills to facilitate their healing.

Justyce takes a holistic and collaborative approach to therapy, recognizing that every individual is unique. Her toolbox includes mind/body interventions, somatic release techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy, and inner child work. These techniques are tailored to each client's needs, helping them overcome trauma, anxiety, and depression.

He is a highly educated and experienced professional, having earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from the Anderson School of Business at UNM. He further pursued his business education at New Mexico Highlands, completing his master's degree in business with a concentration in accounting.

Pete has spent the past 9 years holding leadership and managerial positions, with the last 6 years spent in the banking and financing industry as a branch manager. His expertise spans leadership development, business development, risk management, finance, accounting, marketing, and compliance. Pete is passionate about empowering others by helping them improve their skills and businesses. He derives satisfaction from overcoming obstacles through creative and innovative thinking.

Throughout her career, she has cultivated excellent communication skills and is well-versed in serving people from all walks of life. Vanessa's meticulous approach to her work ensures precise record-keeping, and she is HIPAA certified, placing a high emphasis on providing exceptional customer service.

Vanessa is a Certified Mindfulness Life Coach and CSW who takes a holistic approach to life. She collaborates with clients to provide clarity, direction, and positive support. Vanessa is passionate about helping clients uncover their true potential by identifying areas for growth, setting goals, and holding them accountable. Her mindfulness training helps clients find inner peace and joy in all aspects of their lives.

Vanessa's ultimate goal is to help clients realize their full potential and achieve success. She works with individuals from all walks of life to create a roadmap for success, one milestone at a time. Andrea has her associate degree in criminal justice and over ten years of experience in customer relations. Andrea is now exploring the dynamic world of marketing. She joined our team a year ago after taking a career pause to dedicate time to raising her three young children. Outside of raising children and being our marketer, in her leisure time, Andrea has become quite proficient in cultivating houseplants, boasting an impressive record of sustaining them for over three years.
