Rochelle Robertson, LMHC

Mental Health Therapist

My name is Rochelle Robertson and I am an Albuquerque native. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of New Mexico in 2006 where I specialized in cello performance. I have always had a passion for helping others and love using music as a way to reach people. I have worked with individuals of all ages for over 20 years teaching and giving private cello instruction. After completing my undergraduate studies, I decided to take my passion for helping others and sought a Master’s degree in Counseling. I graduated from Webster University in 2010. I am a licensed mental health counselor offering specific experience with children and families in crisis. I bring comprehensive knowledge gleaned from an array of experiences including work as an MST certified or therapist. I believe that having patience and understanding for each individual and his or her situation and circumstance is key to the success of their therapeutic process and understand that no person is the same. Therefore, no counseling experience or process will be the same either. As a therapist, I strive to get to know each individual, understand them and develop a therapeutic plan that fits them specifically. I work with my clients using modalities such as Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral and Mindfulness Therapy in order to help them better understand themselves and to help them find and tap into their individual strengths and weaknesses. I firmly believe that self-awareness is key to helping us grow and is also needed to assist an individual in building the self-confidence they need to be successful and happy in their lives long after leaving therapy.

Aside from working as a therapist, I am a mother to two beautiful children, a 9-year old son and an 11-year old daughter. I love to spend time with my children, family and friends, I am passionate about exercise and I love to teach and play my cello.
